I am completely done with jury duty, livejournal sent me an e-mail reminding me that my paid account is expiring in 11 days (like I'd forgotten!) and I desperately have to clean my room because we have relatives coming to visit this weekend and they're staying in my room. Also, see title.

Went to jury duty today. I did nothing but freeze and read far too much of A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby (over 200 pages in one day in an uncomfortable chair is too much; also, Jess must die) and wish desperately that I could be reading footballer slash. I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest today. My non-spoilery reaction: I was expecting to love it, and I kind of didn't. In fact, I sort of didn't like it at all.

I just received my first summons for jury duty. A few years ago the idea of being a juror excited me greatly, almost (but not quite) as much as voting did. Now it's here, assuming they do need me, and my mother is pissed off because we were considering going on a trip or something around that time. Oh well.
